The North Texas Bookstore Crawl is a month-long literary adventure held each August, inviting readers to explore independent bookstores throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth region and surrounding North Texas communities. Participants pick up a Bookstore Passport, visit participating locations to collect stamps, and submit their completed or partially completed passports for chances to win bookstore gift cards and other prizes. Created by Talking Animals Books in Grapevine, the annual event celebrates literary discovery, supports locally owned bookstores, and introduces readers to the distinctive books, authors, specialties, and communities found at each location.
